The precipitation front reached us somewhat late; by this evening approx. 10 cm of snow had fallen at the hut, which has settled considerably due to the temperatures. In the regions above 2600m the new snow amounts to about 25 cm, and significant settling was observed there as well. The snow fell with only light wind and was hardly transported.
The weather charts show a change to a southerly flow with rising temperatures. From tomorrow midday quite good weather – Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday slightly changeable, but hardly any precipitation.
Snowpack stability has clearly improved thanks to the radiation-driven settling of the new snow from the various precipitation periods; nevertheless, we ask you to follow the recommendations of the avalanche bulletin.
