Anyone who knows how to judge the daily temperature cycle correctly is currently enjoying touring conditions of the very finest kind. The key factor is the strong warming during the day.
The pictures are from the Knotenspitze circuit, on which we found powder and corn snow conditions today.
This circuit is demanding and requires a great deal of avalanche expertise as well as extensive mountaineering experience.
