The purpose of the ascent was to get a picture of the snowpack situation in the Kuhgschez. We found mostly powder snow. The amounts varied between 30 and 60cm. The 40cm from the second-to-last snowfall have already bonded slightly, whereas the 15 to 20cm from the last snowfall are still completely loose!
