Glacier retreat also has its good sides, and so an ideal training ground for basic skills and steep ice has formed at the Alpeiner glacier icefall!
The fixed ropes at the Wildgratscharte are all in good order! In summer we recommend this crossing towards the Ambergerhütte or to the Schrankogel or the Schrandele.
