We, the Fankhauser family, as tenants of the Franz Senn Hütte, would like to inform you about the parking situation at the Ober Iss Alm as follows:
unfortunately we do not have the slightest opportunity to influence a proper and guest-friendly handling of the parking situation at the Ober-Iss-Alm! We support a paid parking solution, but one handled properly, without the insults to guests that keep occurring!! The procedure lies entirely in the hands of the Agrargemeinschaft Oberiss (agricultural cooperative); neither the tourist board, nor the municipality, nor the hut-owning Sektion Innsbruck, as a member and CO-landowner of this cooperative, seems to have any means of solving this tiresome problem!
We ask you to send us any annoying incidents in writing; we will collect them and pass them on to any authorities that may be responsible, in the hope of eventually reaching a satisfactory solution for everyone involved.
Since the hut-owning Sektion Innsbruck is a co-landowner on the Ober Iss Alm, the ideal solution in my view (Horst Fankhauser, confronted with this problem for almost 40 years) would be to convert its land into parking spaces! However, according to various sources, this seems to be failing at the responsible authorities!
All that remains for us is to ask our guests not to stop visiting the Franz Senn Hütte or planning a week's stay there because of this anti-tourist approach – as several groups have already done!
