Today a touring group triggered a dry slab avalanche in the Kuhgschwez relatively early in the day!
We post these incidents online not to criticise, but as valuable information for other ski tourers, to show them how unpredictable the snowpack currently is on shady slopes above about 2300m. We hope that this information can make a small contribution to preventing accidents.
All three avalanche incidents in recent days occurred on non-glaciated steep slopes above 2300m in the northern sector!
