Very variable snow conditions! Breakable crust, wind crust ranging from supportive to breakable, and here and there some powder!

Very variable snow conditions! Breakable crust, wind crust ranging from supportive to breakable, and here and there some powder! In the uppermost section much of the snow is missing; it was transported to lower areas by the storm. Snowpack tests showed that the snowpack is well consolidated in itself! Glide-snow avalanches are nevertheless an issue at the moment – this type of avalanche follows its own rules!!
