As already reported in previous posts, on our tours over the last few days we have mainly been busy observing and investigating the snowpack! Due to its depth and characteristics (few but quite thick layers), the snowpack has satisfactory stability! Many old slab fracture lines (all from the days of heavy precipitation) can be observed from about 2800m upwards! The odd small fresh slab avalanche (triggered by ski tourers) was also observed.
